Happy New Year! Here's hoping the Mayans were just tired of making
calendars... Hope everyone had a safe holiday season. In the southwest,
we are ready to start off-road riding in earnest, though I know a lot of you
have your bikes up for off-season projects - or maybe have traded for a
snowmobile for a few months (growing up in North Dakota, I couldn't wait for
enough snow on the ground to take the Polaris out). In any event, here's
hoping you have a safe and successful 2012 no matter where you are. My
New Year's resolution - get more articles up in 2012!
MMP has some new products for you KLR riders, so please check them out.
Rod has put together a great deal on a complete over-sized front brake
rotor kit and is now offering redesigned shock components for your stock
KLR shock. Combined with a new spring and a general service, you won't
believe the performance you can get from the stock shock. Check out the
MMP product pages here; the brake kit will be on the "Brakes and Engine"
page and the shock internals on the "Chassis and Final Drive" page.
Pauline and Elden plan to do some serious riding this year, and thanks to
technology, we'll be able to track them along the way. We'll be posting our
own version of "Where in the World is Pauline Read". If you'd like to see
